Students and families-- We all got some very disappointing news yesterday! I'm sad that we will not see each other for the rest of the school year, and like many of you, I am feeling stressed and anxious. However, I hope we can embrace this change as best as possible and stay in touch and engaged.  I will be posting Library Media work on google classroom. If you have not already gotten the code to join, it will be coming soon. Remember, you only come to the library once a week! Don't stress or feel like you have to tackle everything at once. I will be sharing book talks on google classroom and encourage all of you to please keep reading! Remember you can get in touch with me at Miss you! Mrs. Layman

I hope all children and parents are doing well! Please let me know if there is anything I can help you with while you are home. Reach out if you have any questions about book reports or Rosa Parks work. Book Recommendation for when you get back to school: I read Dirt by Denise Orenstein. A little girl stopped talking after her mother died and she makes friends with a neglected Shetland Pony while she deals with bullies at school and her neglectful father. Big surprise, I cried! It was very sweet and touching. Yonder, the little girl, goes through a lot to try to help Dirt, including hiding him in her bedroom! I give it ****! I will keep updating with new recommendations and online sources while we are out.
